Her passion for sport began at a very young age. Taft competed at various levels in both school and college however, she ultimately made the decision to become a broadcaster. Taft's professional career started at Fox Sports North in the job of a sideline reporter and regional affiliate when she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from Boston University. Alongside covering sports, she also served as a social media contributor and was host for numerous games. Her job was then elevated to work for Fox Sports 1 as part of the News and Highlights team. Taft was a reporter for FS1 and covered numerous famous events. She worked simultaneously as an on-field journalist for football and became the leader for college-level reporting alongside Gus Johnson.
